Neil Isaacs is Professor of English Emeritus at the University of Maryland, College Park and a retired therapist.

Besides two prior novels, his books include clinical studies (pathological gambling, couples counseling), sports history and analysis, cultural studies, and literary studies (from Old English Poetry to contemporary fiction). 

Other publications include sections of books, newspaper columns, and contributions to learned journals, mass-market magazines, and obscure quarterlies.

Tennis player, puzzle worker, poker player, proud grandfather of eleven, he lives with his wife Ellen in Colesville MD.
